Techno Brain BPO-ITES is an established provider of e-government systems and digital-transformation services in East Africa. The parent, Techno Brain Group, was founded in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, in 1997 by Manoj Shanker, initially as an IT-training institution. The company expanded into Kenya in 1999 and established its custom-software and enterprise-systems division in 2005. In 2011 it acquired and rebranded Ken-Tech Data Ltd into its BPO/ITES division.
Techno Brain became the first indigenous African firm to be appraised at CMMI Level 5, expanding its footprint across 15 countries. The division delivers automated e-government solutions — including tax, customs and digital-identity management systems — and executes specialised data curation and labelling for Microsoft’s Analog team.
