Career Directions Limited (CDL) was established in 2003 by founder and CEO Lucy Mmari, who brought over a decade of human-resource expertise to the Kenyan market. Following amendments to Kenyan labour laws in 2007, CDL strategically launched its outsourced labour-management division, transforming the company into a major regional HR consulting firm.
CDL expanded its market reach across East and West Africa, operating in countries including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and Ghana. In 2020, CDL was awarded an Export Processing Zone (EPZ) licence, allowing it to manage and deploy large-scale physical and digital workforces. Today, the firm manages a payroll and deployment network of over 4,700 workers.
